Margarett Keller Scholarship


The Margaret Keller Adult Education Scholarships provide financial help to young women to empower them by helping them pursue higher education.

This includes assistance for tuition, books, supplies, child care, and travel expenses, so that young women can pursue studies that range from early college to graduate courses at local colleges and universities, including online courses.

This small financial support assists them in obtaining their goals to become productive, self-sufficient members of the community. Each year, the Margaret Keller Scholarships help six to ten individuals. Dorcas Ministries makes payments directly to the approved school, bookstore, or daycare center. Gasoline vouchers help with transportation. We recommend that clients also apply for any available state or federal funds.

Rules For Applying


Applicants must be living in the Cary, Morrisville, or New Hill area. They must have limited income and desire to gain further education to enter the work force and or expand their work credentials.

In order to apply, you can either fill out the application online or come in during the Crisis Ministry office hours.

Rules for Application for Margaret Keller Scholarship:

Complete both sides of application and sign. All requests should be presented at least 15 days prior to your deadline dates.

Provide a copy of grade transcripts or grades from most recently completed semester

Submit a Financial Aid Report from the school you are attending showing your grant and loan allocations for the present school year.

List a contact person, phone number, and name of the school you will be attending.


If you are requesting child care, we need the following:

Daycare name, address, phone number

Name of a contact person in charge at daycare facility

Cost of your child's daycare

If you need assistance with gasoline, please indicate the number of miles traveled for school each week.

For books and tuition needs, bring the invoice from the institution. Payment is paid directly to them according to the information on the official invoice.
