Dorcas Ministries is holding an 8 week program named Jobs for Life beginning September 12th and ending on November 14th.
The Jobs for Life program emphasizes the value of work and the importance of community and teaches the core job search skills of resume writing, interviewing, having a plan and speaking with confidence and purpose. Participants are introduced to local employers to learn what they look for when hiring. Founded in Raleigh in 1996, Jobs for Life has sites all over the world that help over 4,000 people a year successfully re-enter the workplace.
Jobs for Life builds confidence, provides “coaching” and helps develop a deeper faith in yourself and God’s plan for you. According to Bob Stapleton, the Jobs for Life Instructor, “This is the best service we offer at Dorcas Ministries. Jobs for Life changes lives because landing a job is still about networking, which is part of the magic of this program. We have over 14 volunteers with strong community networks actively engaged and working to assist students.”
Stapleton is a professional career coach and retired Food Lion executive. He brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to the program.
